“There is no scope of Pakistan winning any such war in my lifetime,” the Indian media quoted Singh as saying.Singh was responding to a media report quoting Sharif as saying, “Kashmir is a flashpoint and can trigger a fourth war between the two nuclear powers anytime.”
On Wednesday, Nawaz Sharif’s office denied the above statement which was also not part of an official statement circulated to the media after the prime minister made his speech.“The prime minister never uttered these words and the report is baseless, incorrect and based on mala fide intentions,” was the official clarification.
